A staycation at Lake Como

If you feel like doing a day trip to lake Como or spending a night in Italy during your St.Moritz holidays, it is for sure a great addition to the Engadine mountain world. PPM can even help you to extend your holidays in the alps with a week in a beautiful villa at the Italian lake of glamour.

Not only is the Engadine valley one of the most beautiful places to visit in summer but it also offers great opportunities for day trips to very close Italy. Lake Como is only 60km away, for sure a trip to do during a summer stay in St. Moritz.

Besides the chic south-end in the Como area, where George Clooney and his oceans eleven friends meet in Laglio, the lake offers a wide and open landscape with the massive Swiss mountains in the background at the north-end.

Starting in Spring 2019, PPM is offering a stunning and newly renovated estate in the picturesque Bellagio area. It is one of the largest estates around the lake and the renovation has been done with an intensive attention to details. PPM will offer the estate with the well-known full service matching the quality of the Villa Limonta. The Villa is in the final stage of works and even features a private heliport – what a decent way to travel door to door from St.Moritz!

If you decide to drive down the Maloja pass you can actually feel the smooth cultural transition from the Swiss mountain life to the Italian “Dolce far Niente” of Lake Como.

Lake Como is not only a Mekka for water sports but the old lake road features some of the most stunning cycling runs in northern Italy.

Before cruising back up and getting a great sleep in the cool alpine air of St. Moritz, a visit to one of the local Grottos with it’s amazing authentic Italian food is an absolute must.
