Es ist November \u2013 ein wichtiger Monat f\u00fcr die Saison des Olympia Bobrun in St. Moritz. Die weltweit einzige Natureis Bobbahn wird j\u00e4hrlich von einem Team von Bahnbauern aus dem S\u00fcdtirol erbaut, die nun auf ausreichend Schneefall warten um Ihnen die Arbeit zu erleichtern.<\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Der Olympia Bobrun in St. Moritz ist die einzige Natureis-Bobbahn der Welt und dabei auch die \u00e4lteste, auf der noch immer gefahren wird. Die 1733 Meter lange Bahn wurde erstmals 1904 er\u00f6ffnet und diente seither als Austragungsort f\u00fcr 22 Weltmeisterschaften und 2 Olympische Winterspiele.<\/p>

Die Bahn und ihre 19 Kurven wird innerhalb von drei Wochen von einem erfahrenen Team von Bahnbauern aus dem S\u00fcdtirol erbaut. Christian Brantschen aus Celerina ist seit 1990 f\u00fcr den Bahnbau verantwortlich.<\/p>

Jetzt, Anfang November sind alle Beteiligten froh \u00fcber den fr\u00fchen Schneefall im Engadin. Ab Mitte November beginnen die Bau- und Formarbeiten der Bahn. Obwohl die Arbeiter jeden Zentimeter der Bahn genau kennen und die Kurven exakt vorgegeben sind, gibt es aufgrund der Handarbeit jedes Jahr leichte Variationen in der Bahnf\u00fchrung, die f\u00fcr Zuschauer zwar nicht wahrnehmbar sind, f\u00fcr Bob- und Skeletonfahrer jedoch deutlich sp\u00fcrbar sind.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Der Bau beginnt an der Sunny Corner. Das Team baut die Bahn richtung Horse Shoe und weiter nach Celerina bis zur Ziellinie. Wenn dieser Teil fertiggestellt ist, wird der zuletzt der Start bis zur Sunny Corner gebaut. Wenn die grobe Form steht, Teilt sich das Team auf und jeder Mitarbeiter ist f\u00fcr die Feinarbeit und instandhaltung eines designierten Abschnitts zugeteilt.<\/p>

15\u2019000m3 Schnee und 7\u2019000m3 Wasser werden jedes Jahr f\u00fcr den Bahnbau ben\u00f6tigt. Heutzutage profitieren die Bauarbeiter vom technischen Fortschritt \u00fcber die letzten 100 Jahre. Der Einsatz von Transportfahrzeugen erm\u00f6glicht es ausreichend Schnee an ort und Stelle zu schaffen. W\u00e4hrend dem gesamten Bauprozess warden keine Chemikalien eingesetzt, was den Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz auch zur \u00f6kologischsten Bobrun der Welt macht.<\/p>

Um den Adrenalin-kick einmal selbst zu erleben, k\u00f6nnen Besucher eine G\u00e4stefahrt im Viererbob buchen. Sicher zwischen Steuermann und Bremser sitzend, geht es in rasendem Tempo die 1722 Meter lange Bahn hinunter. Mit Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 135 Km\/h dauert die Fahrt etw 75 Sekunden und wird Ihren Puls mit Sicherheit in die H\u00f6he treiben.
